Home and Interior Style Trends - Summer 2017
We love to look at the home and interiors style trends throughout the year and we are constantly tying these in with the product ranges that we buy too. We thought we would share a few of these trends with you to see you through summer.
First up we are looking at a trend that has been around for a little while now, but it looks set to continue right through Summer. Navy or royal blue (or if you are a Farrow and Ball lover lets say Stiffkey Blue or Hague Blue), is a real striking colour to introduce into your home. We have seen some great examples of this on feature walls whilst scrolling through Instagram recently. We are talking about you here Life with Oaks and Olive and Emma from Hello Cake.
Copper accents and home accessories offset the deep blue colour beautifully. We can imagine our copper phone on a table in front of a navy feature wall. Or even our gold feather frames hung on the wall to really give maximum impact to the look.
If, like Emma at Hello Cake you have opted to have this colour in your kitchen, our gold salad spoons would work perfectly as an accessory to complement this colour. As would our gold edged letter board to create fun notes and kitchen reminders.
With Pantone’s Colour of the Year being Greenery it was obvious that a home interiors trend for a fresh, natural and organic style was on its way. We love the relaxed feel this trend has to it and it reminds us of summer in a more Mediterranean climate.
For this interiors trend we have some great new products just in. Think macrame plant hangers and macrame wall hangings. Our patterned bamboo baskets would also complement this trend perfectly as they make a great plant pot cover.
To create an all round experience for the senses, we think adding in one of our pomegranate and mint scented candles would set the perfect scene.
Pink still seems to be a strong trend this year and we have seen some great examples of this merging in with the colour trends above too.
