Our weekend in London...
So you may remember that a few weeks ago we had a weekend off from the usual kid filled weekend activities and headed to London. Our usual weekend's usually involve being woken at 6am and then spending the whole of Saturday driving the kids from one club to another. Now don't get me wrong, these weekends are usually fun-filled and we love our kids dearly, but, a whole weekend off is extremely rare for us both, so we were going to make the most of it!
We got the 7.30 (yes 7.30am!) train from Loughborough to St Pancras station. First stop... Coffee and Breakfast! We stumbled across Bill's and just knew we couldn't go wrong. Smoked salmon, avocado and poached egg on toast. Yum!
Next stop, Old Spitalfields Market. An array of vintage wears, clothing, jewellery and food stalls were set in front of us. A selection of restaurants surround the market and we loved seeing the use of large letter boards and scrabble tiles as menus and price lists.
We stopped for drinks in this gorgeous little bar, the most amazing greenery everywhere. Quite fitting when the colour of 2017 is 'greenery'. This was evident throughout London, a new trend for palm prints, cactus and the odd pineapple still thrown in for good measure!
Next on our list was Borough Market. A bustling market filled with food stalls and eateries, a foodie's heaven!
We headed to Covent Garden in time for lunch. The deli we chose was just beautiful, and it fuelled us for an afternoon of shopping and further exploration before heading to our hotel in South Kensington. We spent the evening eating tapas and drinking red wine, we told you we wanted to make the most of it!
Sunday was all about visiting the Trade Show, Top Drawer. Set in the most stunning of venues it is certainly one of our favourite shows. So many wonderful brands, new and old all in one place. We placed orders, gained inspiration and took lots of notes.
Over the next few months you will start to see the new product landing on our website, so watch this space!
